Hello

I am a mum of two, a primary school teacher and huge picture book fan. Since I was a little girl, I dreamt of seeing my own book in print. I began writing it many years ago when my children were little. Once I was finally happy with the story, I searched for an illustrator. There are so many wonderful artists but none were able to make Leonard the way I had come to know him in my head. With higher art under my belt, I decided to give illustrating a go and taught myself how to draw digitally. Many hours and late nights later, Leonard and his friends came to life. It was a labour of love, but I am so proud to finally see my work in print.

 

Eating healthily is something that I am passionate about, and I believe it's so important for children to learn about the benefits of a varied diet from a young age. Of course, it had to be funny too. Everyone loves to laugh and so it was always my goal to make the story fun to read and maybe even provide a giggle or two. I have had such lovely feedback from the children I have visited- my most important critics. It gives me joy every time I hear them shout out as I turn the pages.
